Upcoming Events in the Brahman Cattle Industry

Fall is here, and so is a very busy schedule for Moreno Ranches. As one of the top producers of Brahman Cattle for sale in Florida, we make the circuit of the various cattle shows. Our goals are to showcase our own cattle, for sure – red and gray Brahman cattle, heifers and bulls – but also to build the industry. With their incredible genetics, Brahman cattle bring so much to offer – heat resistance, docility, great meat and dairy production capabilities and a beauty all in itself. We are very proud of our Brahman cattle industry.

Come out and see us at the following events happening this Fall. As always, we offer ranch tours of our ranch here in Venus, Florida. Just contact the ranch for a tour. We’re also always available online or via the telephone to touch base on your Brahman cattle needs.

Schedule of Upcoming Brahman Cattle Events

October 29, 2015 – The State Fair of Louisiana. Come visit us in Shreveport, LA. Fun fact about Shreveport – Shreveport became the capital of Louisiana for a brief spell during the Civil War, after Baton Rouge and Opelousas were succeeded under Union control.

November 14, 2015 – The Jambalaya Classic, St. Gabriel LA. According to The Oxford English Dictionary jambalaya comes from the Provençal word jambalaia, meaning a mish mash, or mix-up. Brahman Cattle for Sale

November 30, 2015 – The 2nd Annual Moreno Ranches Cyber Monday Sale. The term “Cyber Monday” was created by marketing companies to persuade people to shop online. The term was coined by Ellen Davis and made its debut on November 28, 2005 in a Shop.org press release entitled “‘Cyber Monday Quickly Becoming One of the Biggest Online Shopping Days of the Year”.

December 05, 2015 – The Heartland Classic Junior Shoe at Moreno Ranches, Venus, FL. From the perspective of a US citizen, the word ‘Heart- land’ usually refers to the Midwest, an area which includes the north-central states of the United States of America, specifically Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. However, the meaning has shifted over time and over place – we’re kind of fond of thinking of the heartland as being Central Florida
