In addition to increasing awareness and promoting knowledge of the Brahman breed, the show is designed to showcase the skills of Brahman youth; and they did just that by taking home the following awards: Red Brahman Heifer Open Show: OVERALL RESERVE CHAMPION RED FEMALE – MORENO MS LADY RENNELL 242/1 and Gray Brahman Bull Open Show: OVERALL RESERVE CHAMPION GRAY MALE – MORENO MR POLLED KYROS.
The annual Heartland Classic is a family event that is designed to showcase their superior Brahman genetics, but more importantly, to showcase the skills of our great youth. About the Heartland Classic
The purpose of the show is to give Brahman Juniors an opportunity to show their Brahman cattle, between the County Fair level and the level of the National Junior Brahman Show. It is a true learning opportunity, in a fun yet competitive setting.
Through these youth programs along with many other ventures on the ranch, Moreno Ranches, a passionate advocate for the American cattle industry, is proud to continue the family’s traditions and carry the family name into a new generation of American agriculturalists and cattlemen and women.
The Heartland Classic is a show created to provide opportunities for the youth to work with their cattle projects and compete with other fellow juniors on a competitive but social level, preparing in some way for the bigger national Brahman shows if so desired. This two day show is a family event that is designed to showcase their superior Brahman genetics but more importantly to showcase the skills of our great youth.
